"Five Senses" Reviews -- UPDATED OCT 15

Here are several reviews of the comic I wrote, "Five Senses":

The PullBox: This extremely original supernatural crime story sells itself beautifully.    The writing rocks!... The writing is very solid and the art supports the atmosphere of possible delusion and paranoia that is growing within the main character.

Comixology:  "The book, honestly, blew me away."

The Lost Man: Jake Black does a wonderful job bringing me into the story very quickly.

The Event Magazine:  Finally, the writing, I dang near fell into this book because it draws you in. This was a solid effort. The story flowed through every frame and hit the points you would want it to hit. They leave just enough out to have you want more.

Comic Book Bin: With a creative story idea, clean writing style, and crisp modern illustrations, Five Senses, has something for everyone. The storyline is super creative as the writer weaves in and out of a kind of Twilight Zone meets M Knight Shyamlan plot. If you’re a fan of thrillers or horror comics you will love this comic that feels almost like a more realistic version of a Saw movie.

More Horror:  The story brought to us by writer Jake Black and artist Justin Wayne is so well presented that I could see it as a movie...This is as close to a good Twilight Zone comic as we’re going to get.

Sequential Review:  The writing is lean, tight, and leaves the reader genuinely intrigued as to who could possibly be taunting Bowman...Five Senses has the eeriness of a Stephen King novel and the same cosmic justice that classic fairy tales are famous for.

Strange Kids Club: I’m definitely interested in seeing how the seed planted in this teaser issue plays out over the course of the series.

Wired: I’m ready for the rest of the series.

CXPULP: A solid teaser.
